Each selected play will represent one of six age groups/categories ranging from age 11 and up and will be read alongside plays by international best-selling novelist Maeve Binchy, National Book Award-winner Colum McCann, writers Pauline McLynn, Joseph O’Connor, and more.

Tiny Plays for Ireland and America will feature the following actors:

In 2011, Fishamble invited the citizens of Ireland to submit tiny plays capturing the challenges and joys of contemporary life. Over 1,700 plays were submitted to the company, and Fishamble produced 50 of them in Tiny Plays for Ireland, selling out Dublin's Project Arts Centre in 2012 and 2013, and receiving great audience and critical acclaim.

IAC at IRELAND 100

A number of projects featured in the festival have Irish Arts Center roots, including:

  • May 20-21 | Colin Dunne's Out of Time, (U.S. premiere co-presented by IAC at Baryshnikov Arts Center in 2011)
  • May 22 | Camille O'Sullivan (In Residence at Irish Arts Center 2014, returning this spring at IAC)
  • May 26-27 | Jean Butler and Neil Martin’s this is an Irish dance, co-commissioned by Irish Arts Center, Danspace Project, and Project Arts Centre
  • June 5 | Muldoon's Picnic, curated and hosted by Paul Muldoon (originated at IAC in 2014)
