"The stories contain some of the most beautiful sentences ever written in English." -Colum McCann, from the Foreword to the anniversary edition of Dubliners
The 33rd annual BLOOMSDAY ON BROADWAY celebrates 100 years of James Joyce's Dubliners and his masterpiece Ulysses. The event will feature readings by Cynthia Nixon, Malachy McCourt, Kelli O'Hara, National Book Award-winning author Colum McCann, and others of several of the book's stellar stories, including the beloved final story "The Dead." Between readings, songs from the stories will be performed by soprano Lisa Flanagan. Introductions by Irish writer Belinda McKeon.
One of the world's great Bloomsday traditions created by the late founding artistic director of Symphony Space, Isaiah Sheffer.
