Between Worlds
Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin in Concert
with the Chelsea Strings Quartet

Friday, October 12th | 8pm
Saturday, October 13th | 8pm

Ó Súilleabháin is one of those rarities, a musician who grasps absolutely both the classical and traditional idioms, and his take seems to be that, not only can they co-exist, they should burst forth together in something that goes beyond mere fusion.” – THE HERALD

One of Ireland’s best-known composers and performers joins the Irish Arts Center with a string quartet for an evening of his vibrant, evocative music. With the composer at the piano performing early music from the Irish tradition alongside selections from his own vast body of work, audiences will get a glimpse into his style that marries Irish traditional with classical, jazz, and world music.

Chelsea Strings Quartet
Violin I - Nikita Morozov
Violin II - Amanda Lo
Viola - David Fallo
Cello - Erich Schoen-Rene
