“David McWilliams might have trained as an economist but his true vocation is as a star of vaudeville.” - The Irish Times

Economist, best-selling author and international broadcaster David McWilliams returns to the Irish Arts Center for another intelligent round of economic debate with a comic twist. Following on the success of last season’s sold-out Political Cabaret with President Obama's "Car Czar” and MSNBC Morning Joe economic analyst Steven Rattner and comedian/former Saturday Night Live cast member Colin Quinn, this season’s entertaining and stimulating evening takes a hard-nosed, comic-voiced look at Irish, European and U.S. economics and other contemporary issues. Join us for big thinkers on today’s big questions and enjoy a few big laughs along the way.

David McWilliams is a journalist and broadcaster and one of Ireland’s leading economic commentators. He is the bestselling author of The Pope’s Children, The Generation Game, and Follow the Money and has a weekly column in the Sunday Business Post and the Irish Independent. Prior to his media career he spent 10 years working at UBS and the Banque Nationale de Paris.
