Our sixth annual PoetryFest celebrates Ireland and America’s great literary connection by showcasing an unparalleled array of much-published and award-winning poets. The only New York festival of its kind, PoetryFest immerses participants in an intimate and creative atmosphere filled with readings, storytelling, book signings, conversations, and more.

Tara Bergin, this year’s Seamus Heaney Centre for Poetry Prize-winner for her debut collection This is Yarrow. Her poems have appeared in Poetry Review, Poetry London, PN Review, Best British Poetry 2012 and Modern Poetry in Translation. |

Adam Fitzgerald, whose poetry has appeared in Boston Review, Fortnight Journal, Los Angeles Review of Books, Post Road, Rain Taxi, and The Brooklyn Rail. The author of the debut collection The Late Parade (2013), he was born in New York City. |

Miriam Gamble, winner of the Eric Gregory award and a 2011 Somerset Maugham Award, author of two collections of poetry and a lecturer at the University of Edinburgh. She grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland. |

Vona Groarke has published six collections of poetry with Gallery Press, the latest being X, (2014), a Poetry Book Society Recommendation for Spring 2014. In the U.S., she publishes with Wake Forest University Press. Current Editor of Poetry Ireland Review and a member of Aosdána, she teaches poetry in the Centre for New Writing at the University of Manchester in the U.K. |

Dave Lordan, writer, editor, and teacher based in Dublin and the first person to win all three of Ireland’s national prizes for young poets - the Patrick Kavanagh Award, Rupert and Eithne Strong Award, and the Ireland Chair of Poetry Bursary Award. |

Robert Pinsky, Pulitzer Prize nominee essayist, literary critic, translator, author of eight collections of poetry and former Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress. He was awarded the PEN/Voelker Prize for Poetry in 2004. |

Gerald Stern, author of twenty collections of poetry, most recently In Beauty Bright (2012). Born in New Jersey in 1929, he is a former Poet Laureate of that state and his work has received the National Book Award, the Wallace Stevens Award and a Guggenheim Fellowship, among many other honors. |

Kevin Young, winner of the 2003 Paterson Poetry Prize, and a finalist for the National Book Award and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. The author of numerous books of poetry, he is a professor and curator of collections at Emory University in Atlanta. |
After each event the poets will gather in the gallery to mingle with the audience and sign books.
