IAC Book Club as part of European Book Club
City of Bohane by Kevin Barry
This event has been postponed to Wednesday, December 18 at 7 pm due to inclement weather
“Full of marvels…Powerful, exuberant fiction.”—The New York Times Book Review
Discuss 2053’s law-free and technology-free city and characters of Bohane, Ireland, from the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award-winning novel City of Bohane with fellow literature lovers, led by Irish Arts Center Director of Programming and Education Rachael Gilkey.
Each month, the European Book Club meets at a different cultural institute to discuss and celebrates a well-known, contemporary novel by a European author. This season, the IAC joins the Club in one of their first sessions about Ireland’s great novelists. City of Bohane will be available at the Center on October 9th and after online purchasing details can be found at www.irishartscenter.org. Participants should plan to read the book before the session meets, but please feel free to join the discussion no matter how much you have read. Check out other monthly offerings at www.europeanbookclub.org. |
